Canon GL2 miniDV CamcorderThe Canon GL2 digital video camcorder uses the standard MiniDV cassette, producing the highest quality video possible from non-broadcast equipment. The MiniDV format standard delivers more than 500 lines of horizontal resolution. This is about a 25% improvement in picture quality over the best analog formats. On top of that, because it records both video and audio as digital data, this information can be transferred, without any loss of picture or audio quality, to a computer for editing, then transferred back to DV tape, without a reduction in either picture or audio quality. Canon's Professional L-Series lenses utilize Fluorite, a material which provides outstanding resolution, contrast, and color reproduction, especially in lightweight, high-magnification lenses. Incorporated into the lens on the GL2, Fluorite delivers the ultimate in clarity and image quality.

Macro-photo Lens Canon MP-e65mm f/2.8 1-5xThis lens, used alone without attachments, performs macrophotography from life-size to 5x magnification. This lens offers much better portability and operability for indoor and outdoor high magnification macro photography of small objects, than conventional systems. The optics uses a 3-group floating system, which moves three lens groups independently for focusing. This compensates aberrations caused by the large changes of image magnification inherent in macrophotography, while achieving high magnification from life-size to 5x and a fast f/2.8 maximum aperture.
