Data Acquisition

The data acquisition system was upgraded in 2005 from 128 to 192 channels plus 16 channels of analog input. The system additionally runs a scramnet shared memory making all channels available to the control system at the rate of 1 khz. For general purposes the system uses 80 hz anti aliasing filters and scans at 200 samples/second. The maximum sustainable through put of the system however is 800 khz. Thus it is possible to scan all 192 channels up to 4,000 samples/sec.

PI660-6000 is the application software that operates the Pacific Instruments Model 6000 Data Acquisition System (DAS). It is a turnkey application that controls channel setup, acquisition of data, storage of data to disk, data conversion to engineering units, and export of data to common file types. The software operates under Microsoft Windows.
